Prologue: Melody of Mysteries
Chao are small creatures with little life force, so they depend on the world around them to grow. There are five types of abilities, flight, swimming, speed, power, and even stamina. They seem to grow on those main skills, and each chao has a different look to match their skill. Sometimes, someone takes care of them, or helps them grow into an adult. The alliance they chose will decide how they look when they turn into adults. Hmm...I seem to have explained enough, let's begin this story, shall we?
It was a dark and stormy night, which was unusual considering how peaceful this forest is at night. A dark chao was flying above the trees. She had agile movements; her head was round with a strange zigzag motion on top. She had blue diamond like design on her forehead. She wore a pink tank top, with blue shorts. Her eyes were a mysterious light blue that did not look too pleased.
"Suzi!" She yelled, she made a large crystal spear appear from her hands, and then she threw it. She was aiming for another chao, that chao looked like a hero chao. She had a turquoise halo, with two bumps on top of her head that pointed up at the end and had many shades of green on the end. She had dragon horns, arms, legs, wings, and tail. She wore a purple dress with blue polka-dots, but could not be identified due to being so filthy. Her eyes were an innocent black and white filled with fear.
"Kyah!" She yelled as she tried to dodge the crystal. It went through the bottom of her wing, and she began to lose altitude. She put more weight on her right wing and tried dodging the crystals going after her. A couple of crystals jabbed some parts of her body and finally, after much endurance, Suzi began to fall down to the Earth. She landed with a loud thud, but was barely conscious. She mustered all the strength she had and limped near the lake.
"Suzi!! Oh sweet Suzi!! Come here so I can kill you, darling!" the dark chao hollered to the chao named Suzi.
Suzi panicked and jumped in the water. Holding her breath, she swam to the bottom part of the river.
The dark chao looked everywhere. "She must've fallen here, she couldn't have gone far..." The dark chao whispered, she walked away to check a different spot. Once the coast was clear, Suzi swam up to the surface and gasped for breath. She began to slowly limp away from her kidnapper.
Someone...anyone....help me.... she continued until she was quite a ways away from where she fell, and fainted from exhaustion.
